APCMs: Our churches are holding their Annual Parochial Church Meetings this month. St. Peter's is on Thursday 8th October at 2.30pm; All Saints will hold theirs on Saturday 17th October at 10.30am. These meetings have been delayed from April by the pandemic, and are an opportunity for the churches to present their accounts, elect Churchwardens and PCC members, and to reflect on the past year. Do come if you can!
Concerts: We welcomed Peter Godden to All Saints on Sunday 4th October for an organ recital - the first classical concert in Lynn since March! We are pleased to welcome Donald Bousted this coming Sunday (11th October) to play the classical ukulele. The concert is at 3.30pm; suggested donation of £8 payable on the door.
Sunday and midweek masses: Our Sunday services are being broadcast again! Each week the 11am mass will be streamed live on Facebook. If you're finding it hard to wear a mask for the whole length of a Sunday mass, why not try a midweek service? They're shorter and have fewer people. All our times on our services page.
We are excited to be hosting two concerts in October: first, on Sunday 3rd October, Peter Godden will be giving an organ recital; and the following week, Donald Bousted will be playing the classical ukulele for us.
Both concerts start at 3.30pm. Admission is by donation (suggested £8) - this can be paid on the door (cash only please).

On Sunday 5th July, St. Peter's and West Lynn held their first Sunday services in sixteen weeks. (We actually held a mass on Saturday 4th July at All Saints to walk through the choreography!) It was lovely to welcome so many people back to church.
Seven years ago Shannon Gayk from the United States of America spent the night in the anchorite cell at All Saints, hearing Mass through the window as her medieval counterparts would have. She recently wrote an interesting article on the lessons we can learn from the anchoresses during lockdown. You can find it below.
